The Full Story
Aftenstorm is a 3-piece dark heathen folk band based in Budapest hailing from Norway, France and Hungary.
Their unique brand of entertainment fuses an ancient Nordic sound, tenor vocals with primal drums and haunting Tagelharpa melodies that will make your mind travel back in time and dance around a majestic bonfire.
They released their first EP "Ondt blot" in December 2022. The band released their first music video "Farvel mitt hjem" on the 17th of May 2024. Followed by their first LP named Din Jotna Faen on 20th of September 2024.
Concept
The whole concept about Aftenstorm is to recreate a true ancient nordic sound with lyrics that can resonate with people today.
We also strive to set our sound apart from the biggest bands in the genre mailnly because we want our sound to familiar yet unique. For us it is really important to not be compared to other bigger bands, and make any listener recognize our sound when hearing our music.
When it comes to building, I’ve always focused on creating the exact sound I envision for each instrument. To achieve this, I adhere to a precise and carefully developed method for crafting Tagelharpas, ensuring the best possible sound quality.
Vision
Our vision is to promote the tagelharpa and make it affordable for everyone. We want to spread the sound and the beauty of this wonderful instrument.
This is why we provide a beginners course with the purchase so that everybody can get started with some guidance in this venture.
